EMPLOYMENT LAW IN ONTARIO
A Guide for Employers and Employees
Employment Law in Ontario is a guide for employers and employees so that they are able to find, at their fingertips and in one volume, the key legislation of the province and the principles of employment law which impact on day-to-day relations between employers and employees. It is a practical guide to answer practical questions in a straight forward manner. The authors have avoided, whenever possible, legal jargon in an attempt to simplify without misleading, and to clarify without being simplistic.
The book is aimed at business persons, non-specialized lawyers, human resource professionals, students of management and concerned employees. The book should assist employers concerned about avoiding the legal mine-field of civil litigation and adversarial employer-employee relations. Employees will learn about the breadth of legislation and law that impacts on their employment relationship. It highlights in some detail those areas that employers and employees require most guidance, because the legal principles do not provide simple answers.
