For over 35 years, Jim has been involved in labour/employee relations, initially as a labour relations/personnel executive and now as a lawyer. He has represented management in arbitrations and adjudications, labour board hearings, union contract negotiations, human rights matters, Employment Standards Act hearings and Occupational Health and Safety Act prosecutions. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1984 and became a certified Human Resources professional in 1987. Jim is also involved in wrongful dismissal litigation, drafting employment contracts and has assisted in developing personnel policies and dealing with restructuring and downsizing of corporate organizations. Jim has conducted numerous labour and employee relations courses for management employees, written articles on the subject, and has been a guest speaker at seminars dealing with labour relations/personnel matters.
